We love music in our household. From Pandora, Spotify, iTunes and our music collections, we constantly have music playing. One of the best purchases we have made in this marriage was our record player. After a spontaneous trip a couple of years ago to Cleveland and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, we bought a record player on our way home.
While most of our instant gratification purchases usually end up stored in some closet or under the bed, this one remains on display and is used almost daily. Especially since I have been working from home, it is nice to have some fun background music on. We were a little worried when we purchased this player that we wouldn’t be able to find records of some of our favorite music, but as luck would have it, the Hipster movement grasped onto this lovely form of music as well and we have been able to find records and most of them come with a digital download. We can listen to our music at home and on the go. And for our classic records, we bought a record player that records your music onto your iPhone or iPod.
If you are considering getting a record player, do it! You won’t regret it. You can find records now at concerts, Urban Outfitters and online. We even have two record stores right down the street (but that is because we live in a very cool neighborhood).
