Country Chic Wedding

This has been the summer of weddings y’all. I love them. I love them all! Love, laughter, cake, vows, cake, amazing decor, cupcakes, candy bars, cake…. o man. I love them even more when I have had the blessing of shooting their engagement photos. It’s a special treat to have gotten a glimpse of their love that no one else gets to see and document it for them to share. And since I don’t shoot weddings on my own, this is as close as I get to heaven in my book.

When I look at our fridge and see that 80% of the Save the Dates have pictures that I have had the opportunity of taking, my heart swells with thankfulness. It gets me pumped up for their day so much!

One of these such weddings happened a couple of weeks ago when one of my favorite West Virginian Girls, Brianna, tied the knot with her handsome beau, Matt. You can see their engagement photos here.

It was BEAUTIFUL and the weather was perfect. It was like the sun was kissing the grass as it set and the air had this sweet smell to it. Mixed in with a campfire, s’mores, corn hole, flannel and pearls, this wedding was what country wedding’s dreams are made of. All that was missing was John Denver.

While I didn’t shoot this wedding, I brought my camera along and snapped a few pictures. Get ready to want to eat a lot of marsh mellows. It’s on.

I loved the way you captured the essence of Brianna and Matt in their engagement pictures and I love even more how you captured the joy and spirit of their wedding day. My favorite is the headshot of them posted above the typewriter pic. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.

Vivian, Thank you for your sweet words! You have an amazing and beautiful daughter (actually two, I love Meggie as well) and a great new son. They are so fun to work with and make it easy to get beautiful pictures. Em
