Boo & Scout

Boo&ScoutLogoFH3Boo & Scout

Have you ever had a dream? One that wakes you up, that you think about all the time, dream about, talk about, bore your hubby about, but you just can’t quite it and it TERRIFIES you! Ah!

You guys, I have a dream and it makes me so scared but I think that’s a good thing right? If you aren’t scared, then it isn’t a big enough dream! Well my dream is huge because even just writing this, sharing it with you, makes my palms sweaty and I have to start breathing deep.

You see, I have kept this dream bottled up inside until very recently. I think it is more than a dream because I believe that God has placed it on my heart so intensively that I have no other option than to pursue it. About 4 months ago, out of no where, my dad asked if I still had this dream. I hadn’t really thought about it much recently, but since then, it has been all I can think about.

So what’s my dream?

It’s Boo & Scout.

The brick and mortar store that I want to own, design, and share. I have a dream of having a space that is full of life and love, and where I can share unique and mostly handmade pieces from talented artists. I have such a passion for artisan made items and I want to have a place where other people can discover them as well rather than having to always scour the internet to find unique pieces.

I have so much to do. So much research, learning, developing, etc… so much to do. But I have already started planning. Starting with a logo. This is where I need your help! I need you to help me pick a logo! This may change, but I need a place to start. Here are the logos I have come up with so far. In the comment section, tell me which one you like and why!

Boo&ScoutLogoFH1If you haven’t guessed, I am naming the store after my favorite book, To Kill a Mockingbird. Did you hear Harper Lee is writing a sequel? Be still my heart!

And as a teaser, just to give you an idea of what I want to offer in my store, I have put together a mood board of what kind of things I want you to find in Boo & Scout.

Untitled 2So, would you purchase any of these?

This is so exciting!! I’ve always wanted to own a shop of some kind, but the thought of actually pursuing it would make my palms sweaty, too! I love handmade/artisan goods; the pillow and arrows immediately caught my eye!
As for logos, #2 and #4 are my two faves! I like the simplicity of #2 and the soft personality of #4. Having a contained shape like #4 may be easier to work with, depending on how you plan to use your logo in signage, tags, print, etc.
